"Go get some shit done!"
Education and execution are critical, but one is what will get you the results. You have to learn to get it done. We see this a lot in the entrepreneurial community, and if you feel some way after you've heard this message, that was the point. I want to encourage you to understand how important this message is because if all you're doing is educating yourself—reading books, watching videos, listening to podcasts—. Still, you're not doing any work, you're going to be in the wrong way. The work is what gets the results.

Personal Development Goals for Work: Strive for Success by Balancing Learning and Hard Work
I understand that the work isn't sexy. Everybody loves being a scholar and sitting up in their big brick mansion in their library, smoking a pipe by the fireside—reading books that sound glorious to a scholar. But the only way to make that a reality is to do the work that can afford those things. And you and I both know that if you're not working, you're not living in a mansion, sitting in your library, huffing down a delicious smoke pipe. It's just not how it works. You have to do the work to get the results.
Understanding the balance of education and execution is what's ultimately going to propel you to the success you're looking for. I encourage you to learn every day. You should be taking lessons and implementing what you've learned from them through your experiences. That's how you gain wisdom. You have experiences and learn lessons; that's what gives you the skills you need to go on and create success in your future life.

Personal Development Goals for Work: Implement What You Learn for Success and Fulfillment
But if all you're doing is learning—reading, listening to podcasts, watching videos—but you're not actually implementing what you know, you're putting yourself in a bad situation. So I just want to remind you today to get some done. You spent a lot of time learning; you put in five to ten minutes every day listening to me and the other podcasts that you enjoy, and that's fantastic. We are super grateful for that. But don't forget to do the work because your doing the work is what creates the results, and those results are what give you fulfillment.
And you send us those messages that say, "Hey, I heard your podcast, this message hit home, and I went and did the thing, and now I'm successful," that's what makes us feel successful. The podcasters, the content creators, the executioners, the people who are getting done, because what that does is makes us learn. We get better when our message hits home enough for you to take action. That's how we win.
So go out there, do the work, and then tell us that you succeeded because we love that. Go crush the day, y'all.
