The Feeling Of Helping Others | CTDP Ep. 62
All around the world individuals struggle. Some of us have unhealthy coping mechanisms in place just to deal with it all. Either we have a drink every night, eat too much sugar, or for some of us…we get high on hard drugs! Sure these things block and mask our pain, but only for a short time only to return back to a depressed state later on.
On this episode of “Crushing The Day,” Drewbie shares: “When you do good, and give to others, that feeling will last a lifetime.” There is no drug or drink on this planet that can replace the feeling we get from helping someone else improve their life. Dopamine and Serotonin get released in these moments and can be remembered for years to come.
When you get that natural high for giving to others, it’s proof from the universe that you are doing something right! Drug highs only last for a few hours and then the fake feeling of happiness and peace is gone. The joy you receive from doing something good truly lasts a lifetime. Tune in to learn more!
What You’ll Learn:
- How a lot of us bury our pain with drugs and alcohol.
- Why drugs can only give you a false sense of happiness that never lasts.
- That true power comes when we choose to get out of our heads and do something to help others.
